The County of Maui’s Housing Division invites the public to attend a free Fair Housing Training from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. April 3 at the University of Hawaii Maui College campus in Kahului. The training is designed to increase knowledge of federal and state fair housing laws. It is well-suited to housing providers, landlords and tenants, as well as any other service providers or individuals wishing to increase their knowledge. The training is brought to members of the public by the County of Maui, the Hawaii Civil Rights Commission and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Lanai and Molokai residents may participate remotely. They are encouraged to register and attend. Registration forms must be completed and submitted to the County of Maui Housing Division by Friday, March 27. This training is accessible for persons with disabilities. To request an accommodation, please contact the Housing Division office by Monday, March 23. Registration forms will be available online at the County of Maui’s Housing Division website, as well as in-person at the Housing Division office, located at 2065 Main St., Suite 108, Wailuku 96793.
