The State Health Planning and Development Agency hereby APPROVES and ISSUES a certificate of need to Newport Hospital Corporation for the proposal described in Certificate Application No. 08-07 for the West Maui Hospital and Medical Center! A community celebration will be held on March 26, 2009. Click Here for more details.
West Maui Taxpayers continues to support West Maui Improvement Foundation in its efforts to bring much needed emergency and critical access care to the West Side for residents, commuters, and visitors alike. We feel that the event was a success and do hope to have many more events like this in Lahaina. We would like to remind the community that the WMTA does not endorse or support any candidate specifically for election, and wishes all candidates luck whether seeking office or re-election.
REAL PROPERTY TAX REVENUES BY DISTRICT
Estimated Revenues of the West Maui District represent 38% over 3 times that of Kahului/Wailuku (12%) where the ONLY hospital in the County is located where an ambulance can deliver anyone to for emergency medical assistance at this time.
West Maui's economic importance as the heart and engine to the Maui Economic health and well being is the highest and most valuable compared toa ny other area in the entire County of Maui accordingly.
